I loved AVP. One thing I liked about it was that it went deeper into the psychology of the Predators. It actually shows them to be an honourable race.

It's a shame the ending to these kinda films are so predictable though.

Spoiler:
I mean, you know they're just gonna end-up killing eachother and no one wins...

Except in this case, where the Xenomorph obviously won.

But, of course, no Predator fan will ever actually admit that. ¬_¬'

I love this film. The fight's are really cool and the setting in the pyramid is a good idea. I LOVE the Predator's huge throwing star that comes back to him!

Spoiler:
When he slices an alien's head in half when not even looking with it? Even better!

I'm going to have to disagree with you, Kitai.

Spoiler:
If you think about it, no one won. The last Predator took out all of the Xenomorphs, apart from the queen; Win to the Predators. The queen mortally wounded the Predator; win to the Xenomorphs.

I don't remember seeing the Predator having an egg put inside him, so I can only assume that it was the other predators that did it in an attempt to give themselves better prey. Bad move on their part.

Overall though, it was the humans that won... wtf O_O;

I knew you would. But you're wrong. =p

Spoiler:
You don't remember the Predator getting face-f*ucked by the Face Hugger? I do. o_O

Anyways. The chest buster is a product of a Xenomorph. Therefore: win to Alien.

Yeah, it's a PredAlien, but it's more on the side of the Aliens - as clearly seen in the second movie AND it sporns more Xenomorph.

Spoiler:
The Predators had Face Huggers on their ship, which is evident at the beginning of the second film. A predator wouldn't allow it's face to be hugged, that's one of the reasons they wear their masks.

Spoiler:
Face Huggers can melt through most things, including the Predator's helmets.

Also, the Predator had his mask off at the time as he was marking it.

Spoiler:
I don't remember his face being hugged at that moment. Besides, I've watched a video of the pred-alien chestburster from both films; in the second film, a group of Predators are clearly seen pushing a trolley with Face Huggers in their jars sat on top.

It's happens just under an hour into the film - I just checked.

And what has that got to do with it? o_O

Oh wait, I just re-read your post and you thought they did it on purpose. Which they didn't. As I just proved. XD

What scene number is it, I forgot.

It just shows that it is possible for the Predators to do it themselves

I already told you when it happens and how it happens. XD

Of course it's possible. But I doubt they'd do it. And if they had any intentions of doing that to one of their own then they wouldn't bother coming to Earth to use Humans.

Yeah, but I'm going to watch the scene again, lol.

Spoiler:
They come to Earth to use humans because it is part of their tradition. The pyramid is somewhat of a sacred place for them; somewhere young predators go to test their mettle as a right of passage. It was explained in the first film.

The Predator was mortally wounded, so why let a good opportunity go to waste. Predators are always on the look out for new challenges and having a cross breed, for them, is the ultimate challenge.

Spoiler:
It's also obvious that they would have Face Huggers aboard the ship for the purpose of study (and purhaps enhancement), and to keep the species going if anything happens to the Queen on Earth.

However, there's nothing to say that they haven't got other Queens on other planets and do the same thing to other species that they do to humans. Which also suggests that they don't need, and don't want, to use one of their own.

And who said he was mortally wounded? We still don't know the extent of the Predators' technology.

The pyramids were built for the purposes of the hunt. The Predators taught the humans how to build them in the first place. They're used because they're meant to provide extra challanges within the hunt.

Perhaps they are symbolic of what they have on their home planet, but that's not been confirmed, and it's just a thought I had.

But anyways, this is getting off-track. Watch the movie again, and just under an hour into it you'll see the Predator remove his helmet to mark it with the acid blood of a dead Face Hugger (which also proves that they can melt through those helmets, so even if he had it on; it's still possible for him to become infected/inpregnated). Moments later, a live Face Hugger jumps him.

I liked this film for the most part and having read your debate I would have to agree with Ki 100%. There's just no denying it.
