Joey was almost speechless. He couldn't believe that they couldn't train. There were some shouts of protest, but nothing that would accomplish anything. Blitzball was cancelled for a while.
"That's just great." Joey said sarcastically after a few moments.
"Tell me about it." Alex replied, equally annoyed at the latest news.
"Well, I hope they haven't cancelled mum's game." Joey said as he stood to return back to his room.
"Your mum plays?" Alex asked.
"Yeah, she does. Teila Strider of the Estha Espers." Joey replied as he started towards the door.

Zeke put the kaycard into his pocket and picked up his bags. He wasn't happy about Blitzball being cancelled. He understood why the Levvies were unable to train, as they didn't have their whole team; but he didn't think his team should suffer because of it. He left the gym as quickly as he could. He wanted to get his stuff to his room.

Zeke pushed the door open and carried on. He didn't notice if there was still someone waiting outside. He noticed the distinct lack of crowds, perhaps this meant that there was no more coming today, but it could've been just a break in the rush.

Alex hadn't yet noticed Joey, or the other Alex. She was the first to leave the gym as she was standing right by the door the whole time. As she left, Rebecca joined her. She'd been able to hear what was being said inside the gym.

"Did you hear?" Alex asked her as they walked.

"Yeah. That's a big admin error." Rebbeca replied.

"This sucks!" Alex stated loudly.

"Well, this sucks!" Alex continued to complain, and was over-heard by the Sleipnir Blitzball Coach. "What a loada crap!"

"Well, it's a good job I'm looking into sorting this problem as quickly as possible then, isn't it?" He said, a grumpy tone in his voice. "Those lazy good-for-nothings have no common-sense! Splitting a team-up... what the f*ck were they thinking!?" He then stormed forward, clearly just as aggrivated, if not more-so, than the student themselves.

Joey followed Alex out of the gym. He was just as angry as Alex was, but not as verbal with his objections. Joey couldn't help noticed the Sleipnir coach watching them as they left.
"Dammit." Joey said as he kicked at the floor.
"It's bad, isn't it." Alex said with a rather dejected tone in his voice. Joey walked towards the stairs. He wanted to get back and carry on watching the game, if it was still on. He hoped that professional Blitzball wasn't going to be affected, but deep down he knew it would be.

Fast forwarding by Admin request... lol

Zeke approached the door to his dorm. As he reached it, he placed his bags on the ground and fumbled for his keycard. He slid the keycard into the lock, and the door opened slightly as it unlocked. He returned the keycard to his pocket and picked up his bags.

Zeke kicked the door open and entered what was to be his new home for an undetermined amount of time. He turned round to close the door and as he turned back, he found himself staring down the barrel of a gun. which was held by someone wearing nothing but a towel. He was still dripping wet, evidence that he had just stepped out of the shower.

"Argh! This is unbelievable!!" Alex complained again.

She was sat on the sofa, remote control in-hand, watching the end of the Blitzball match.

"What's wrong?" Rebecca asked, who was unpacking her suitcase in her room.

"They're cancelling all the Blitzball! Even the professional games until this whole stupid mess is sorted-out!" Alex told her.

"Wow, really?"

"This is stupid! Do they even realize what they're doing!? Blitz brings people together!"

Joey flicked through the channels frantically, hoping to find some news of the match that he had to leave. He hoped that the Espers had won, as he always did.
"Go'dammit, I can't find anything." Joey said as he threw the remote onto one end of the sofa and slumped down on the other.
"What about the highlights?" Alex said as he picked up the remote and sat on the arm. He flicked over to the channel the match was on but the hopes of highlights were dashed as the news that all Blitzball is to be cancelled was announced. Joey bolted upright at this disturbing news. He couldn't say anything, he only managed to stare blankly at the screen.
"That..." Alex started but trailed off as they continued to watch in disbelief. They saw footage of Leviathan Garden, or what was left of it as the anchorman told them there was no clues as to what had happened.
"...sucks" Joey finally said, finishing Alex's comment several minutes before.
"I hope they show the rest of the match." Alex said as he looked at his watch and realised that the match was only half over.

Francis felt a little uncomfortable, but not as uncomfortable as Zeke must've been feeling. Francis Had a gun pointed at Zeke's head while he was wearing nothing but a towel and still dripping wet.
"Sorry Zeke, can't be too careful with all these levvies around, don't know who you can trust." Francis said as he raised his gun away from Zeke.
"No problem. Go sort yourself out while I unpack." Zeke said as he walked past Francis to go to his room.
"Unpack? Does that mean you're my new roommate?" Francis asked, realising the stupidity of the question. Zeke just laughed a little as Francis shook his head and went back to the shower to get dressed

Alex was feeling pretty frustrated, and disheartened. It was enough hassle just having to move to a new Garden, leaving her home ground behind, and pretty much start-over again. But to have Blitzball cancelled, especially so soon after she had arrived, made her anxious. Blitzball was something she'd enjoyed for many, many years.

It wasn't like she didn't have other hobbies, but Blitzball was something she felt brought people from all-over together. And it was her profession. She needed to keep-up with her practises if she was going to stay up-to-scratch with this.

"Gah. This is boarding on obsessive now." Alex shook her head, trying to shake-off her own thoughts. "I'm going for a wonder." She said to Rebecca, before parting company with her.

Alex just wanted to clear her head, stop herself worrying so much, and, of course, head over to the Chocobo stables.

Joey relaxed in the sofa, relieved to hear the current match was to be allowed to finish. Alex made his way to grab some refreshments.
"Incoming." Alex said as he threw a can of drink over his shoulder. Without turning round, Joey snatched the can from the air.
"Hurry up, Alex, the second half is about to restart." Joey said as he cracked open the can and took a sip.
"Almost there." Alex said as he finished snatching the snacks and made his way back to the couch. He dropped the stash in the middle of the couch and jumped over the back, landing on the other end.

"Got enough there?" Joey asked, raising a brow at his friend.

"Just about." Alex grinned as he cracked open a can of soda.

"So... Alex is here too. Spooky, huh?" Joey said, causing Alex to almost choke on his drink.

Alex then acted like he hadn't actually heard what Joey just said. He just stared straight forward at the television, his drink held firmly in his hand as he tried to "act normal".

He then went to take another sip, when Joey spoke again.

"I think I'll call check if she's online later on and ask her what room number she is." He said with a slight grin.

Once again, Alex almost choked.

"You're doing that on purpose!" Alex growled.

"S'not my fault you gulp down too much as once." Joey shrugged.

"Whatever." Alex then pretended to take another drink.

"Infact, I think I'll email now just incase I miss her onl--" Joey didn't get to finish what he was saying, as Alex threw one of the sofa cusions at him to shut him up. "Hahaha, chill out!"

Alex let off an annoyed kind of sigh and sat back in his seat.

"I don't get you. She's on our team, for heaven's sake." Joey stated. "You guys used to be joined-at-the-hip and now you hardly even speak to eachother."

Alex stayed silent, a look of hurt crept on his face, before he hid it with one of annoyance.

"It's not good, man. It's not good for the team. And it's definatly not good for you guys." Joey finished, and when Alex still refused to enter the conversation, he went back to watching the game.

There was an awkward air in the room. Until Alex broke it...

"So, wanna check out the student bar tonight?" He said, trying to lighten the mood and change the subject hanging over their heads.

Joey thought for a moment, he hadn't even thought about the student bar until now.
"Sure, sounds like a plan." He said absent mindedly as his mind tried to focus on the game at hand. It wasn't turning out to be a very good game; the Espers were down in points. Watching this game didn't serve to take the sting out of Blitzball being cancelled. Joey wished he could do something about it.[/b]

Francis came out of the shower, fully dressed this time.
"I'm going to hit the training area," Zeke called from his room, "if you want to come with." Francis considered this for a moment.
"As much as I love the trainig area, I'm going to head to the bar." Francis said as he replaced his gunbelt and his guns in his their holsters

OOC: Okay, time skip, dudes!!

Alex and Joey entered through the large double doors of the student bar. Though, it was more like a nightclub...

Much like their old "student bar", there was a bar area with sofas, chairs, tables, pool tables, and a couple of large televsion screens. The music in the bar area wasn't as loud as the music which could be over-heard from the next door whenever the doors between them swung open when people entered and exited it.

The next room had loud rock music coming from inside, along with some colourful lighting, and though it wasn't packed-full, it still seemed quite lively inside.

"Drink?" Alex asked Joey as he wandered quickly over to the bar.

"The usual." Joey answered as he followed, taking-in his surroundings.

"Jack and Coke then?"

"Yeah. Minus Jack."

"Oh, c'mon, man. Don't make me drink alone."

"You know I only drink on special occations."

"This is an occation." Alex said before ordering their drinks.

"Say what?"

"We're drowning our sorrows at the sad, sh*tty, news about the Blitz."

"Fine. But just the one." Joey eventually gave-in, taking his drink when it was bought to the bar.

"Yeah, sure. One. For now." Alex coughed the last part, half-hoping Joey wouldn't hear it... or at least; not argue it. "Now! To the rock room!!"

Joey shook his head, laughing a little as Alex pushed the door open and the loud rock music from the other side flooded through, as well as some bubbles from the recently used bubble machine.

As the two walked in and the bubbles started to clear, a very familiar face became visible on the dancefloor... the other Alex, laughing and dancing away with a bottled drink in one hand.

Joey could only watch as he noticed Alex decide to down his first drink in one go after he'd obviously noticed the other Alex was here too.

"This is gonna be a looong night..." Joey thought to himself.

Joey took a gulp of his drink. He actually felt annoyed that, in a fit of excitement at his mum finally pulling off the Jecht Shot III perfectly and scoring with it, he knocked a drink that had been left on the top of the TV over; spilling it's contents into the TV and causing it to blow up. It is this reason that they had left for the bar in the first place. Any moment now, the match would be over. He'd want to find out how the Esper's did.
"I'll get the next drink, just go easy, yeah?" Joey said to Alex as he leant close.

Francis and Zeke walked down towards the student bar, which was actually where they first met. Zeke hadn't been very talkative, but Francis was the first friend he had when he joined.
"Glad you decided to come." Francis said as they walked closer to the doors.
"Well, it's where we met. It's been a little while since we were last here." Zeke said. They walked through the doors and headed for the bar.

Alex was with Rebecca, and a few other girls she'd recently met, on the dancefloor. As they finished their drinks, Alex took their empty bottles and bounced her way over to the bar. But it was busy and she didn't want to wait, so, leaving the empty bottles on the barside, she decided to use the bar in the quieter room.

As she shuffled her way past the growing crowd of party-goers, she noticed Joey and started waving.

"Hey, Joey!!"

Joey could barely hear her over the people and the music, but he noticed her waving her hand in the air as she half-skipped towards him now.

"Hey!" He said, then looking beside him to check on the other Alex... who was now nowhere to be seen.

"You're here too?" She smiled, happy to see a familiar face.

"Er, yeah." He replied, his mind wondering where the other Alex had gone to. "Small world, huh?"

"Yeah." She then noticed he seemed a little weird. "You okay?"

"Yeah, yeah." He nodded. "You're not here alone, are you?"

"No, no. I'm with a couple of friends." She smiled, then leaving through the doors to the quiet bar, waving him to follow so they could talk more.

It was hard to catch-up with all the noise in the other room. And as they walked back in, Joey noticed the Blitzball match playing on the big screens.

Joey stared at the big screen. Leviathan had some big screens, but the game was playing on a few screens of the same size, part of the picture in each screen, making the entire picture bigger. A smile crept across his face. Unfortunately, the match was about over, so he had missed a lot of the action. He looked forward to the post game highlights.
"Did you attend the assembly with the Sleipnir coach?" Alex asked Joey, snapping him out of his Blitzball-driven trance.
"Yeah, I did-" He started after a moment, "it was mandatory, remember. Alex was there, too." Joey said without thinking.

Francis looked around and spotted an empty pool table, situated not far from the bar.
"Hey Zeke, fancy another thrashing at pool?" Francis said confidently as he turned to face him.
"As I remember it, I beat you the last few times." Zeke said as they started towards the table. The two were quite evenly matched when it came to pool, so every game was always close.
"Ha-" Francis laughed as he lightly pushed Zeke towards the table, "you set them up and break, I'll get the drinks. Do you want an alcoholic drink this time?"
"Just the usual." Zeke said as he shook his head. His usual was an inexpensive cocktail of the various fruit juices the bar had in stock. Francis usually drank a couple of pints of sweet cider.

As he turned to face the bar, Francis noticed Joey enter from the louder room with another of the levvies.
"Hey look-" He said to Zeke. Zeke just made a curious sound as he looked in the direction Francis was looking, "Joey's brought his Levvy girlfriend with him." He joked.
"Who?" Zeke asked, not knowing what Francis was going on about because he had never met Joey, apart from when they were all told that Blitzball was to be cancelled, but they never spoke.
"Don't worry, I was messing about. He looks busy, I won't bother him for now." Francis said with a chuckle as he made his way to the bar.

Alex opened her mouth to reply, but as the last few words Joey spoke hit her brain, it forced her to pause for a couple of moments.

"O-ooh..." She finally murmured, trailing off.

"Hey!" One of the younger barmen came along to serve her. "What'll it be?" He smiled.

Alex just stared at him, blankly. She couldn't remember what she was meant to be ordering. She had a quick glance around for the empty bottles to use as reminders, but then she rememebered that she'd already left them at the other bar in the louder room.

"Did you lose something?" The barman asked.

"Um, s-something like that..." She said, glancing over at Joey, who couldn't believe the mer mention of the other Alex had thrown her so much. "I'll, erm, just go double-check what the girls wanted."

Joey felt like he had said something wrong. At first he hadn't realised what he had said wrong, then it hit him. Things were very awkward between the two Alex' but Joey didn't know why. He should've been a bit more sensitive about it, or at least kept in mind what he was saying. He finished of his own drink and waited for Alex to return, or at least he hoped she would.
"I'll have a JD and coke." Joey said as he put the empty glass down on the counter.

Francis approached the bar. He had seen the girl leave Joey at the bar. From where he stood, Joey looked hurt, but he may have been wrong.
"I'll get that-" Francis said as the bartender put Joey's drink on the bar, "I'll have a sweet cider and a fruit juice cocktail, as well, my good man." he joked.
"Cheers Francis. What are you doing in here?" Joey asked as he picked up his drink.
"Just having a few drinks with my friend Zeke-" Francis pointed to the the table where Zeke was busy setting up, "feel free to join us when your girlfriend returns."
"Heh, she's not my girlfriend, but I might just do that in a bit." Joey said as the bartender took payment for the drinks.
"Chin up." Francis said as he patted Joey's shoulder, grabbed the drinks and made his way back to the table.
